PADI Advanced Open Water Course Koh Phangan

The two (2) day PADI Advanced Open Water Course Koh Phangan is designed to enhance your confidence and elevate your scuba diving skills to new heights. This immersive experience will not only expand your diving knowledge but also provide you with the opportunity to participate in various Adventure Dives that tailor your diving journey to your interests.

Throughout the course, you will engage in hands-on learning under the expert supervision of our certified PADI Instructors. With their guidance, you will explore thrilling specialties such as; deep diving, peak performance buoyancy, and underwater navigation. Each dive is an opportunity to gain valuable insights and practical experience, making your journey as engaging and comprehensive as possible.

This course is all about embracing the joy of diving while mastering new techniques. By the end of your PADI Advanced Open Water Course Koh Phangan, you will extend your maximum diving depth beyond the Open Water Diver level, unlocking a wealth of underwater possibilities.

As part of the program, you will complete two required dives: Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation, conducted at some of the finest dive sites in the Gulf of Thailand. In addition, you will choose three more Adventure Dives from an extensive list of specialties that intrigue you, culminating in a total of five unforgettable dives.

Please note that open water dives at Sail Rock (Package 2 & 3), renowned as the premier dive site in the area, are conducted from our dedicated scuba boat. Local dives (Package 1 and 2) may take place from beach launches, speedboats, or traditional long-tail boats, at any of Koh Phangan’s exceptional dive sites. We set you up with PADI where you must complete the PADI e-learning theory (approximately 6 to 8 hours) before starting the course with us. The pool training sessions and open water dives then take 3 days to complete.

PADI Advanced Open Water Course Koh Phangan Includes

• Knowledge Development with PADI e-Learning. This must be completed before starting the 2 day dive sections of the course.
• Choose from a long list of PADI Adventure Dives.
• 5 Open Water Dives, over 2 days, at one of the best dive sites in the Gulf of Thailand.
• All required learning materials and dive equipment.
• PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Certification.
• Breakfast, lunch and refreshments during Sail Rock trips.
• Resort Transfers. Taxi fee of 400 THB per person, per day is payable if located in Thong Nai Pan. No Haad Yuan or Haad Tien transfers.

**Please Note: Breakfast, lunch, refreshments are not included for classroom/pool days.** Start times vary, depending on where you are staying on the island. Hotel transfers are included* and are between the hours 06:30 and 07:30. The dive boat leaves the pier at 08:00. You return back to your hotel around 15:00.

INCLUDE PADI ENRICHED AIR COURSE

The PADI Enriched Air Diver Course is one of our most popular specialty courses. The course is classroom based and can be incorporated into the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course. Scuba diving with Enriched Air Nitrox gives you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive dives. If staying down longer and getting back in the water sooner sounds appealing to you, then don’t hesitate to become a PADI Enriched Air Diver.

You’ll learn why diving with air that has higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content gives you more bottom time, along with enriched air equipment considerations. During a practical session, and two optional scuba dives, you’ll:

• Discuss managing oxygen exposure.
• Practice analyzing oxygen content in your scuba tank.
• Set your dive computer for diving with Enriched Air Nitrox.

If you choose to include this course, you will be using Enriched Air (Nitrox) on the last Open Water Dive of your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course.

Prerequisites

Minimum diver level to take part in the PADI Advanced Open Water Course is PADI Junior Open Water Diver (minimum age of 12 years) or PADI Open Water Diver. Please check that you can answer “NO” to the questions on the Medical Statement before making your booking – you can then complete the form at our office.
