Ang Thong National Marine Park
Snorkeling sites here feature well preserved corals and a wide diversity of marine life. Also the scenery above the water is pretty awesome too. Above all, this trip is a relaxing and rewarding day for both scuba divers and snorkelers alike.
Ang Thong National Marine Park is a fantastic day out for all the family. This is where you find the greatest biodiversity in the gulf of Thailand. Taking one of our boats from Koh Phangan, the journey takes around 1.5 hours. Certainly a pleasurable experience, while enjoying the stunning scenery going past.
Snorkelers could see Giant Barracuda, huge schools of Fusiliers, oddities like Razor Fish, Cuttlefish, Sea Snake and Anemone Fish. The diversity of hard and soft corals is mesmerizing. Coral gardens almost everywhere you turn. Also, Nudibranchs are abundant here and you will find many varied species.
Koh Tao
Koh Tao offers a wide diversity of snorkel sites and marine life alike. Throughout the boat journey you can chill out and relax while taking in the picturesque coastline and stunning bays.
Almost certainly a favourite here is Shark Island. Probably one of Koh Tao’s premier dive and snorkel sites. You may even spot the resident turtle or bump noses with visiting reef or leopard sharks. Other dive sites around Koh Tao offer shallow depths and fringing reefs, while still maintaining the diversity of marine life. On the sandy bottom in the bays, looking closely one might be lucky and observe the beautiful seahorse or starfish.
Snorkelling Koh Phangan Includes
Aboard one of our dive boats we stop at the islands best areas for snorkeling. Snorkel equipment is included, as well as refreshments, breakfast and lunch on the Sail Rock boat trip. Free resort transfers are included from most locations. Taxi fee of 400 THB per person, per day is payable if located in Thong Nai Pan. No Haad Yuan or Haad Tien transfers. Please note that a snorkel guide is NOT included in the mentioned trips. If you would prefer to snorkel with a guide, this can be arranged at a further cost. Maybe you prefer to experience scuba diving for the first time. Rather than snorkeling Koh Phangan, why not experience the 1 day PADI Discover Scuba Diving Program – book here. Start times vary, depending on where you are staying on the island. Hotel transfers are included* and are between the hours 06:30 and 07:30. The dive boat leaves the pier at 08:00. You return back to your hotel around 15:00.
