PADI Discover Scuba Diving Koh Phangan Includes
- Introduction to the world of scuba diving.
- Basic safety requirements and skills required to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional.
- Basic training of the scuba equipment you will use to dive with.
- Learn key skills that you’ll use during your open water dives.
- All required learning materials and dive equipment.
- Breakfast, lunch and refreshments on Sail Rock trips.
- Resort Transfers. Taxi fee of 400 THB person is payable if located in Thong Nai Pan. No Haad Yuan or Haad Tien transfers.
Please note that open water dives at Sail Rock, renowned as the premier dive site in the area, are conducted from our dedicated scuba boat. Local dives may take place from beach launches, speedboats, or traditional long-tail boats, at any of Koh Phangan’s exceptional dive sites. Start times vary, depending on where you are staying on the island. Hotel transfers are included* and are between the hours 06:30 and 07:30. The dive boat leaves the pier at 08:00. You return back to your hotel around 15:00.
Prerequisite
To sign up for PADI Discover Scuba Diving Koh Phangan, the only prerequisites are: Being at least 10 years old, Being comfortable in the water, and having an average level of fitness. Please check that you can answer “NO” to the questions on the Medical Statement before making your booking – you can then complete the form at our office. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary.

Having not got a PADI before our trip, we were delighted to see that we could dive without the qualification. With two people on one instructor we were able to go up to 12m deep.
The wildlife was incredible and Sail Rock is a beautiful dive sight. Dee was a great and very funny instructor and we enjoyed every moment. A delicious lunch and breakfast was provided on board.

Pickup arrived on time, equipment set up was easy, food on the boat was good, but most of all the scuba diving was amazing. Sail rock was awesome with hundreds of things to see, and huge schools of fish.

Tj and Natalie took us to sail rock. Nice site. Very good diving . If that wasn’t enuff the service was impeccable from pick up to drop off every thing was taken care of. If you are in the area i highly recommend this dive school.
Ask for Tj he is very knowledgeable about the dive site and very relaxed i never felt rushed or out of control

Ko Pha-ngan with Asia Blue-Scuba Company. It was the day after full moon party on Christmas I decided to go for my first experience of scuba diving.
I initially was looking forward for PADI license done but later realised I need to discover the whole experience of diving, for which Asia Blue had a perfect offer of DSD which was of two dives at “Sail Rock” and priced about 3500 Thai Baht which is inclusive breakfast and Lunch on the dive day.
The Team here made everything easy from the minute I connected with them, from the Pool session to the last dive until we reach the resort.
Boy O Boy I here is a Special mention Mr. TJ (diving instructor). You’ve got Marcel as your course director, an amazing American who is absolutely always as Funny as hell from the time he was introduced. I clearly remember first thing he told me “ My job is to look for you and make your experience an Amazing one with loads of fun memories. I’ve got your back!! “ Which was a major confidence boost for me. I was little nervous TJ consistently made me feel so at ease- a perfect mix between having fun and getting the dives done. He told me his story of him starting to discover scuba diving and to be a 5 years full fledge experienced scuba diving instructor. I guess I was lucky to have such a fun diving instructor who made my first diving experience the most memorable one. Indeed knowledge and fun is a wonderful treat for a beginner. He thought me how to make bubble Rings under water. Cheers to Asia Blue for having such a crazy instructor. I can guarantee you that if at all you get TJ as your diving instructor there won’t be scarcity of fun part.
Nothing was too much trouble and the dives ran at peace that it suited my comfort levels. I went from an experience to a obsession very quickly. Now am very sure I will get my PADI license done next time wherever I am for sure without a second thought.

Mimi & Sly provided exceptional service from the moment we walked into their shop to book a dive tour to the moment we stepped off the boat.
We booked Sail Rock and Sly was just brilliant. We did the Intro dive as my 13 yr old and myself have never dived b4. Sly took such good care of my daughter under the sea – 12 metres deep while I relaxed on the boat.
I saw a beautiful whale shark and my child saw many many fish.

Wir haben hier einen Beginner Tauchkurs gemacht. Dieser dauerte den ganzen Tag. Wir durfen jedoch am Vorabend kommen und bereits im Pool das Tauchen ausprobieren um gewisse Grundfunktion über den Scuba zu lernen.
Dmitriy war unser Guide und war sehr routiniert, beruhigend und ausdauernd er hat uns alles toll erklärt.
Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß und haben uns sicher gefühlt. Obwohl nur eine kleine Gruppe teilgenommen hat war es doch ein vergleichsweise großes Boot und ich denke es ist größer und komfortabler (Liegematten) als bei anderen Anbietern.
Zumindest sah es größer aus als das Boot von Haad Yao Divers. Würde ich gerne wieder machen.
Leider war die Sicht unter Wasser nicht so gut wegen dem vorher gegangen Tropensturm.

Guys if you are coming for your first scuba experience and you don’t even know how to swim?? or you do. Asia blue is the answer.
They have provided us with this wonderful lady and extremely talented instructor Lolita. She made it so simple with her extensive sense of humour and great scuba skills that I didn’t even realise I have a fear of deep water.
So, if you are booking with Asia blue then do ask for Lolita and you will be amazed by her skills (carried 3 of us under water) and amiable personality.

Finished the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Course and it was absolutely great. We had a instructor named Boris who was great fun but also very thorough which make you feel very safe and relaxed. Location was amazing and equipment was clean and new. Highly recommended for any one who wants to try it for themselves.

Habe kurzfristig für meinen Sohn und mich 2 Tauchgänge gebucht. Für uns beide war es eine Prämiere.
Als Vater ist es nicht ganz leicht, seinen Spross jemandem quasi Fremden zu überantworten. Christo Unser Tauchlehrer hat einen so phantastischen Job gemacht, dass alle meine Sorgen sehr schnell weg waren. Wir haben uns zu jedem Zeitpunkt bestens betreut, sicher und entspannt gefühlt.
Da es unser erster Tauvhgang war, fehlen natürlich die Vergleiche. Aber was wir beim Saul Rock alles sehen durften war irre.
Bunt, vielfältig und beeindruckend.muss man einfach erlebt haben, lässt sich nicht in Worte fassen.

We went there early in the morning with Michael. He is a really mellow guy who knows exactly what he is doing. He keeps you calm under water and always encourages you. Sail rock is a great place to dive. Many colorful corals as well as fish.
Overall a great experience. I’ll definitely come back and do the open water diver. Cheers Michael!

We came to the PADI Scuba diving shop more by accident (we actually just planned to go snorkeling a bit haha) and James and Ann they recommended the PADI discovery tour for us, we were really excited about this after we’re totally beginners, it was really uncomplicated, the next day we got an appointment at the pool where we got to know Tom, our diving teacher.
He took more than 2 hours for us to explain everything to us in a really calm and patient way, we felt safer and safer with everything, he took every fear from us with his huge experience and his amazing sense of humor. 😉
Everything was really spontaneous and no pressure at all. We decided to join the boat trip to the sail Rock for the next day. The price which was really good included the pickup from our resort, a nice breakfast, lunch and 2 dives. Everything was well organized.
Tom helped us with everything, he took us to an amazing underwater world, we felt safe all the time, we were able to ask him everything and we really profited from his year long experience and knowledge.
Thank you Tom for this amazing time and thanks to all the people on the boat and the whole Crew who really did a great job!We really can recommend this trip and are thankful for great moments.
